So it’s the 22nd. Year 3 has begun. I got the Welcome thread switched over precisely at midnight. It’s the only thing that got done on time in the last 3 months.
I had so many plans, so many ideas, and 91 days. I worked on my list maybe 20 of them. I’ve been working at the day job a lot more than usual, and other aspects of my life have gotten far more demanding than usual. On the plus side (or not), the day job is spiraling. I’m either going to be thrown out or (more likely) walk out sometime soon if things don’t change. So yea, things have been a little crazy on my end. And TCFL had to suffer for it. Sorry, everyone.

The following began as a rather off-topic rant on a thread. It was moved to MB to avoid derailing that thread. Utter laziness (Hey, it's nearly 6 am, cut me some slack!) kept me from rewriting the first paragraph, so I'm sorry if the opening is rather abrupt.
I have to disagree with ANY correlation between education and intelligence. In times past, it may have been true that only the intelligent were well-educated. That is not so these days. What determines education level in this era is the depth of your credit line (or that of your parents) and your willingness to stick it out. Some of the most idiotic people I've ever encountered have college degrees. On the flip side, some of the quickest minds I've ever engaged have belonged to people with minimal higher education... if any.

Note: For two years, our little glossary has been a part of the TCFL Resources Menu. Initially, the Resources menu was housed on a separate page, then it was moved to the Main Menu in an effort to streamline things. Well, another menu adjustment is in progress as we speak. On review of our menu, we've noticed one thing that just doesn't fit... the glossary. While we do not want to remove it from the site, it no longer feels like it belongs anywhere. So we're going to preserve it here in Mosaic Blue, and remove it from its other location. Lngilbert compiled this glossary for us before TCFL opened to the public, so this entry bears her name, to preserve the credit, as well as the work itself. ~Stacey

I guess you guys have been wondering if this anniversary season is ever going to get off the ground. I’ve been wondering that, too. My plans lie around me in ruins. This slow, halting progress does not even remotely resemble what I had in mind.
