Mid-Year Projects

For TCFL, it’s mid-year. So –as usual- I have a bunch of projects going at once and the site’s staff is undoubtedly rolling their eyes in frustration at my exuberance. But hey! Mid-year projects are almost as fun as Anniversary Season projects. (Yea, I know. They’re going to mutiny one of these days.)
We’ve got a little extra motivation for this run of projects, though, so maybe they’ll let me live for a few more months. TCFL has achieved an impressive Alexa ranking. Among sites Alexa categorizes as Childfree, we’re #2, second only to reproductive health organization Planned Parenthood. That’s a second place I can happily live with.
Autumn Ramble

Autumn arrived today. For the first time, I noticed leaves drifting slowly to the ground like wayward snowflakes. The damp dreariness of the day held the faint scent of November, though the air's slightly cool touch was more suited to an earlier month.
Contributing to Society

M and I got into a conversation recently about contributing to society... Not in the "work and pay your taxes" way, but in the "doing something to make the world a little better" way. At one point, I felt compelled to withdraw from the topic.
"Honey, I don't think I'm qualified to participate in this conversation. The only thing I've done for the world is build a little website for a minority demographic."
He replied, "That's a hell of a lot more than most people ever do."
1st Anniversary Season, the Final Weeks

It’s been over a month since you heard form me about our anniversary season site improvement projects. The best explanation I can give you is that I was tired. I honestly haven’t done much of anything these last few weeks.
The little energy I’ve had has been put into preparing the two-project finale of our first anniversary season. The actual completion of those two projects, as well as that of some other anniversary season projects, may fall after the deadline (July 22 is the anniversary of our grand opening.) But I assure you, these projects will be done soon. When they are, they’ll be announced here on Mosaic Blue.
