 Just a few little phrases That caught my attention. There are plenty more in the collection I've built up over the years. Some of this is classic stuff, some not so classic. One line is just a few hours old. My commentary is in the parenthesis below each quote.

Hanging Out with Older Kids

My neighbor across the street was my after school babysitter for a couple of years, before I was old enough to be a "latch key kid" and take care of my little brother (a baby at the time). Her kids were older than me and I loved hanging out with them. Being around them gave me a lot of opportunities to explore lives very unlike my own... This was from ages 7 to 9, when I was already a serious bookworm, but not yet writing.

Booze, Skunks, Fire Hazards, and Chickens 

Welcome to the first official "I'm quoting you because you're funny" entry. Everything quoted below was posted to TCFL Forums in the last two days. There was just too much funny material on the forums this weekend to pass up. You guys had me in tears more than once!  I've thrown in a little commentary, mostly to point out the parts that made me snicker. The arrangement is not exactly chronological, and massive editing has taken place, but the result is somewhat conversational and really strange. Enjoy, and thanks for writing this one for me!
